Thanks for your perspective. Actually, I think that we agree on this issue. The &quot;problem&quot; that I am trying to illustrate is that competitive intelligence is complex (rather than simple). This is not a problem to be avoided. Indeed, the article is trying to make the point that continual learning about problem solving approaches (e.g., case studies) will better equip CI people to serve strategic decision-makers.

The function of a CI consultant is to cause internal progress of CI, which makes it a complicated organizational consulting.</description>
